The Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) can support employers to establish sustainable recruitment from a local talent pool and get schools local to the employer involved with projects that would help kickstart careers within individual organisations.

The Stoke and Staffordshire Careers Hub is the strategic arm of the Department for Education (DfE) CEC for careers for all schools and colleges across our county including mainstream, academy, special schools, and pupil referral units. The Hub works with schools, colleges, and employers to help every young person find their best next step.

By working with both employers and schools, the Hub is a pivotal aspect in building the right skills in young people and bridging the gap between education and the world of work.  The Careers and Enterprise Framework supports schools to recruit Enterprise Advisers. Working with a local school or college, an Enterprise Adviser can help support pathways into industry and shape young people’s futures. Enterprise Advisers are business professionals who have a background in industry or professional careers.
